Sometimes I find that cooking can calm the mind. That doesn’t necessarily mean you need to be a pro either. I find that something as simple as a box of premix muffins or chocolate chip cookies can do the trick all the same. The food is irrelevant, at least in this context, because our goal is to focus on the small things. I find myself thinking about including my daughter in cooking and at seven months she doesn’t really care what we do together it’s fun all the same. Spending quality time with family, whether you are baking boxed muffin mix, or cooking a three course meal has the same effect.
